What is Access Card?

An access card is a secure identification tool used to allow or restrict entry into specific areas within a building or facility. It stores encrypted data that a reader can verify, ensuring only authorized individuals can pass through secured doors, gates, or systems. 

Access cards are mostly used in offices, hotels, warehouses, and various other commercial places with high security zones. Such security systems make a place restricted for everyone but those individuals with the right credentials. Aside from restricting access, these cards can store sensitive information about an individual to track their attendance or movement. Management can view in real-time how many times an employee has access to a high-security zone in a facility, like a server room.
